Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez hav decided to sell their dream home even before they moved it.

The power couple began the year with what seemed like great news: the long-running construction work on their mansion in the coastal town of Cascais had finally been completed.

It was their dream home and one of the strongest candidates to become the family’s main residence once the Portuguese star decided to retire.

However, that vision has now faded, and the couple (who became engaged in 2025) have decided to put the property on the market for around €35 million.

The couple acquired the land around 2020, in the exclusive Quinta da Marinha developments ll.

From there, an ambitious, large-scale construction project began, aimed at building their ideal home on a plot of roughly 12,000 square meters.

Over the years, the project ran into several issues. Construction delays, changes in the technical team, and various legal setbacks forced them to rethink parts of the design. Even so, the total investment ended up far exceeding initial expectations.

That said, cost overruns were not the main reason behind their decision to sell the property after its completion. The breaking point was the location itself.

Contrary to what they had originally believed, the couple realized they would not enjoy the level of privacy they were looking for.

The development features golf courses, equestrian centers, and a wide range of luxury amenities, making it a lively area with constant activity from residents.

According to reports, several points within the development offer direct views of Cristiano and Georgina’s home, something entirely at odds with what they had envisioned when the project began.

Portuguese media claim that the footballer attempted to purchase neighboring plots in the past to secure more privacy, but the owners refused to sell.

The property boasts 5,000 square meters of living space, featuring both an indoor pool and a 37-meter outdoor pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

It offers every imaginable luxury: a private movie theater, a fully equipped gym, and even a garage with capacity for up to 20 cars. According to Semana magazine, the property also includes access to a private artificial beach.
