A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emma Ogidi, has mocked the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will unleash on them the disruptive tendencies it empowered him to manifest in the PDP.
“APC has started shouting now, but they were the ones who empowered Wike to try and destroy PDP, so why are they shouting? He’s going to give them their own,” Ogidi said in an interview on Channels Television.
His comments came amid a growing face-off between Wike and the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, as tensions escalate between the former Rivers governor and the ruling party.
Ogidi also said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains open to reconciliation within its ranks, stressing that efforts would be made to reunite aggrieved members.
However, he drew a clear line regarding Wike, adding that the party would seek to reconcile “all its members except Wike,” whom he accused of actively working to bring the PDP down.
