Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has told Nigerians to use the ongoing Lent period to ask God for supernatural change in the political affairs of the nation.

Fayose, in a post on Facebook on Sunday, expressed pessimism that the change of government being advocated in Nigeria may remain a mirage except God intervenes.

The businessman made the remark in reaction to the outcome of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council election.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had been declared winner in most of the positions in the just concluded elections.

The election, according to opposition figures, was marred by vote buying, violence and intimidation.

Reacting, Isaac, in his post, urged the advocates of change to turn to God and seek for help.

“INEC is a cesspit of electoral irregularities and malfeasance. I laugh at any Nigerian who’s deluding themselves over yesterday’s local government election in Abuja,” he wrote.

“As a matter of fact, there won’t be much difference between the outcome of the Abuja local government election held yesterday and the outcome of the next presidential election.

“Any Nigerian who’s unhappy with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led APC government should use this Lent season to seek God’s intervention for Nigeria and beg God to divinely remove APC because, as it stands today, the votes of the Nigerian electorate are incapable of terminating or dislodging them from office in 2027.

“It’s well with Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen IJN”.
