President Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians that he is aware that fuel price is hitting Nigerians hard but noted that his countrymen should be thankful to God that they are not facing much severe situations like other African nations.

During the President’s visit to Bayelsa State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu spoke on infrastructure development, economic reforms, and cooperation between the federal government and states. He explained that ongoing projects, including the Yenagoa city road, are aimed at improving access, enhancing urban mobility, and supporting overall development.

Addressing economic hardship, he acknowledged the impact of rising fuel prices but urged Nigerians to remain hopeful.

“Yes, I hear you from various angles of the economy. The fuel price is biting hard, but look around, let’s just thank God together that you are better off. Listen to them in Kenya, in other African countries, what they are going through.”

He emphasized that such projects are not only about infrastructure but also about job creation, noting that construction activities generate employment for many people, including water suppliers, welders, concrete mixers, and other workers. He assured continued federal support for development efforts and encouraged stronger collaboration between the federal and state governments.

Tinubu also highlighted the importance of partnership, stating that cooperation with states like Bayelsa and Delta will continue in order to drive regional growth and transform the Niger Delta into a more prosperous area. He thanked the people for their reception and praised the support shown during his visit.

Reaffirming his commitment to national development, he stressed the need for transparency and honesty in governance, saying the government will continue focusing on policies that strengthen the country and improve citizens’ lives.
