The high stake politicking in Edo State continues to get interesting ahead of the 2027 general elections as the Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Esosa Iyawe ,has successfully passed the screening for the All Progressives Congress primaries.
Disclosing this in a statement on his official Instagram page, Hon. Esosa Iyawe, a vibrant and vocal representative of Oredo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives expressed gratitude for the party stakeholders for standing behind him in his quest to pick a second term ticket and continue the positive work he has done for the great Oredo people.
According to Esosa Iyawe, a trained and certified engineer turned legislator, “I sincerely thank our party leaders, stakeholders, supporters, youths, women groups, and the good people of Oredo Federal Constituency for their unwavering support throughout this process.
“This clearance is not just a personal victory; it is a collective achievement for everyone who believes in our shared vision of effective representation, empowerment, and sustainable development for our people.

Dr..Paddy Iyamu, the current Commissisoner of Education in Edo State is also seeking to become the House of Representatives member for Oredo Federal Constituency. He also.passed his screening exercise for the APC primaries.
It’s a straight battle between Esosa Iyawe and Iyamu for the Oredo Federal Constituency ticket at the National Assembly, with both candidates boasting intimidating credentials and impressive antecedents.
