Super Eagles head coach, Éric Chelle has given late call ups to Genk full-back Christian Akpan,and Banik Ostrava ace Abdullahi Bewene for his team’s upcoming friendlies against Poland, and Portugal.
Akpan recently played for Genk in a UEFA Europa League playoffs.
The 21-year-old was a regular for Genk’s second team this season.
Bewene got his Eagles invitation after an impressive season with Baník Ostrava in Czech Fortuna Chance Liga.
A number of first team players, comorisng Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, and Alhassan Yusuf have opted out of the friendlies.
The Super Eagles will confront Poland on Wednesday, before squaring up against Portugal a week later.
