A late night fire has gutted Fresh 105.9 FM, a radio station in Ibadan, Oyo State, owned by veteran gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele.
The incident, which occurred on Friday night, was confirmed by a staff of the station, who raised the alarm via his X handle, @Arugboboisi.
In the post, he appealed urgently to the Fire Service for immediate intervention and called on the public to help spread the word and alert the nearest fire station.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at press time.
Yinka Ayefele, who owns the radio station, also known as Music House, took to social media to share a video of the blaze. The footage showed flames rising at the back of what appears to be the main building as fire fighters who eventually arrived were mounting ladders to contain the inferno.
Ayefele captioned the post with a crying emoji, showing the emotional toll of the incident.
