Nigeria’s new Minister of State for Finance , Taiwo Oyedele, has been sworn-in by President Bola Tinubu.
In a brief swearing-in ceremony held at the State House, President Tinubu administered the oath of office on Oyedele, a renowned tax and financial expert
Oyedele replaces Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, who has since been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State, marking her third ministerial portfolio in the current administration.
JESNews had earlier reported that the Senate confirmed Oyedele’s appointment on Wednesday, 11th March 2026, a day after President Tinubu asked for him to be screened.
Before his appointment, Oyedele had served as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he led a total overhaul of Nigeria’s tax system.
