Popular Nigerian skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known as Sabinus, has rejected the rumour surrounding his marital status.
Recent report on social media had suggested that Sabinus’ marriage had crashed after ending things with his wife.
The comedian and his partner, Ciana Chapman, had reportedly got married in a private ceremony in 2023.
The alleged wedding was said to have held in the United Kingdom, where Ciana and their daughter reside.
News of their marriage became more widely known in early 2025 due to reports of their marital issues and potential divorce proceedings.
However, in an online video with Efe Carter and Nasboi, Sabinus in a studio session, Sabinus explicitly denied the reports, arguing that his relationship ended peacefully with mutual understanding.
“I’m not married. For those having plans. My child’s mother and I ended things peacefully, and she’s completely fine with it. Our daughter is fine,” he stated.
