A senior political assistant to former vice president, Demola Olarewaju, has said President Bola Tinubu will lose in a grand manner if Atiku Abubakar and Goodluck Jonathan run under different political parties in the 2027 election.
Olarewaju, who is a former aide to Atiku, said this while featuring on Mic On podcast on Saturday.
He noted that Jonathan would get people’s support if he wins a competitive primaries.
“If Goodluck Jonathan can come into the primaries and contest in a competitive primaries and he wins, we all will support him,” he said.
Asked what would happen to Tinubu if Jonathan runs on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku on the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“APC loses. The APC will have no base in the (2027 election) if Jonathan runs on the PDP and Atiku or someone else runs in the ADC,” he stated.
He also insisted that the PDP is no longer a force in national politics.
“The PDP no longer the force it once was and no longer has the drive, the PDP today has become a mere vehicle to satisfy ethnic desires.
“I think the PDP has lost national relevance, I think the PDP will still remain a force in certain states but as far as National politics is concern, the PDP is no longer fit for purpose,” he added.
