It’s the dawn of a new era as the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has appointed Iliya Damagum as the substantive National Chairman of the Party.
This appointment is coming as the PDP holds her 102nd National Executive Council, NEC meeting on Monday.
The NEC meeting was momentarily halted for the swearing-in conducted by the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade.
In his acceptance speech, Damagum appreciated other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for making his work easier.
He further commended members of NEC for appreciating his efforts in repositioning the party which led to his confirmation.
