Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, has gone live on social media to set the record straight on the botched transfer to AC Milan and the barrage of criticism aimed at him by fans.
The Bayer Leverkusen star admitted that the much-talked-about Milan switch did not materialize, identifying his prolonged knee injury as the reason. He said he had suffered injury two times on his right leg, which scuttled his progress in the past.
“Day two, Milan didn’t work out just because of my past injuries. I had a knee injury twice on my right leg, and it has been there for a long time,” he noted during the live session.
Boniface stressed that he is fully focused on his career in Germany, maintaining ng that he no longer feels any discomfort and is working hard to reach his peak level again.
Addressing the criticism from fans over the collapsed deal, Boniface fired back, urging people to respect the challenges athletes face.
“Try to make it to my level before you insult me,” said Boniface
