The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, has maintained that the force will commence the enforcement of its Motor Vehicle Tinted Glass law enforcement on October 2, 2025.
Hundeyin said this while denying reports claiming a court has barred the police from enforcing the law.
Some Nigerians had over the weekend insisted that the police was going against the court.
They argued that a lawsuit had been filed by the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) challenging the powers of the law to enforce the acquisition of a tinted glass permit, arguing that since the matter is still in court, the police cannot commence enforcement as planned.
However in a statement released on his X handle, Hundeyin stated that no court has given an order for the suspension of the law. He said the enforcement will go on as scheduled.
