The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that Chris Okafor, the founder of founder of Mountain Of Liberation And Miracle Ministries, has surrendered to for investigation, following allegations of sexual assault and murder against him.
The investigation was initiated on Sunday after widespread concern over accusations circulating against him on social media.

The recent claims connect to earlier allegations made by actress Doris Ogala, who accused Okafor of having knowledge of the poisoning and death of her brother.
Responding to the weighty allegations, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, disclosed that he directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti to commence a probe.
Police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Okafor was formally invited to report to the SCID by 10 a.m. on Monday, citing concerns the allegations could breach public peace.
However, Jimoh revealed in an interview with TVC that Okafor initially failed to appear in person on Monday, communicating only through his lawyer. He added that Okafor’s absence prompted him to issue an arrest warrant.
“When he was invited, he got to us through his lawyer, who said he would be appearing on Monday. So, on Monday, we waited for him. We did not see him, and I directed that he should be arrested,” he said.
“Subsequently, he showed up yesterday (Tuesday). Yes, he showed up yesterday.”
