The Nigerian Army has scored another win, after confirming with hard video evidence the killing of at least 63 terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in Mallam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State.
JESNews reports that the terrorists met their waterloo when they launched a coordinated attack in a daredevil move to breach the 68 Battalion Main Defensive Area on Wednesday morning.
In a statement shared on its official X handle, the Nigerian Army Headquarters informed that the outlawed assailants stormed the area from the Duguri on foot, aided by many armed drones but were however repelled by the gallant troops of the Nigerian Army.
According to the statement, the troops have “since commenced exploitation operations to pursue and eliminate the fleeing terrorists, while Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance platforms are being deployed to dominate the adversary’s withdrawal routes and prevent regrouping”.
In the video shared on X, bodies of the slain terrorists were seen at the scene.
