Leaders of Miyetti Allah in Kwara State have been arrested over alleged ties with kidnapping and alleged ties with bandits in the state.
Leader of the group in Kwara, Idris Abubakar, was among arrested suspects.
It was reported that Abubakar confessed to aiding and abetting multiple kidnapping operation linked to bandits.
There are men over 60 years old, individuals who should be voices of peace, now accused of fueling terror and violence,” the Nation quotes a source as saying.
“This case exposes a deep moral failure by specific leaders, not a community , and it demands full accountability under the law.”
