A Nigerian man has raised an alarm over the condition of the N15billion Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
In a video on social media, the man highlighted that the shoulder of the multi-billion project is beginning to eat up due to lack of proper drainage on the highway which has been a subject of controversy in the past.
The concerned citizen, who described the location of the filming as around Ogombo Road in Ajah, close to Landmark Estate Boulevard and behind Chartered House School, is seen pointing to areas proper drainage should have been included during construction, raising fears about potential flooding or structural issues in the future.
“I’m on the coastal road and I don’t know the reason why drainage has not been put in its right position here,” he said.
He appealed to the appropriate authorities to send engineers to assess and correct the situation, noting that this wasn’t the only section affected.
“This is not the only place we have this,” he added.
“We have this on several parts of the road.”
