Some suspected kidnappers in Nasarawa State have been involved in a ghastly motor accident after collecting ransom.
The accident occurred at Angwan Mayo community in Kokona Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
It was gathered that the suspected criminals were attempting to flee the area after securing the ransom when their vehicle crashed.
Professor of Academic and Research Scientist, Akyala Ishaku, who disclosed the development in a Facebook post, said the accident occurred while on his way to work.
He said the Nigeria Army and Police promptly responded upon receiving the report.
According to him, the kidnappers escaped, leaving behind the ransom money and guns in their vehicle.
“On our way to work this morning, kidnappers collected ransom and had accident at Angwan Mayo around Kokona with their Peugeot 406 loaded with Guns. Unfortunately they escaped leaving money and guns in their car. Thanks to Nigeria Army and Nigeria Police for prompt response,” he wrote.
