Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has debunked speculations of a rift with his political mentor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, saying no individual or group can create division between them.
Speaking during a gathering attended by top members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Yusuf said his relationship with Kwankwaso remains strong and guided by shared values of service and integrity.
He described Kwankwaso as a visionary and selfless leader committed to the progress of the people.
“God has blessed us with a God-fearing and selfless leader in him, a man who loves the people of Kano State and Nigeria, and works tirelessly for their progress and development,” the governor said.
Yusuf restated his dedication to developing the state based on the Kwankwasiyya principles of service, accountability, and empowerment.
In his remarks, Kwankwaso thanked the NNPP National Chairman, Ajuji Ahmed, party leaders from over 30 states, and loyal supporters for their continued dedication.
