Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has congratulated
Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi on his reelection as Chairman of the All Progressive Party in Lagos.
Hon. Benson disclosed this after leading delegates and party faithful from Imota LCDA to the All Progressive Congress (APC) Lagos State Congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena to elect a new State Working Committee,
The congress, flags off the start of electoral race as APC gears up for coming elections. At the Congress, the shape and size of the state executive members emerged through a consensus arrangement, with many of the outgoing officials returning to office.

The high-level gathering brought together important party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, and members across the state to elect executives who will run the affairs of the party as well as plan for its growth and development.
While congratulating members of the newly elected State Executive Committee , Hon. Benson tasked them to live up to expectations and justify the immense confidence placed on them, even as he appealed to the executives to place premium emphasis on unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots mobilization, stressing that the strength of the APC has always been rooted in its people-oriented structure.
Hon. Benson was also happy with the peaceful conduct of the Congress, and sued for sustained unity among members. He emphasized the need for unity, inclusiveness, and strengthened party structures to further solidify the party’s hold in Lagos.
He used the opportunity to affirm his administration’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and performance-driven governance in Imota LCDA, noting that effective grassroots mobilization and unity remain central to delivering sustainable development for residents.
While congratulating the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on his re-election for another term, Hon. Benson commended him and members of the Executive Council for their steadfast leadership and for overseeing a peaceful and transparent congress.
With the emergence of new executives at the state level, party stalwarts said they were optimistic that the APC in Lagos remains united, cohesive, and better positioned for future electoral contests.
Hon Benson said the strong turnout of Imota LCDA delegates at the congress showed that the council is actively aligned with the progressive agenda of the party in Lagos State.
