Nigerians have reacted with several funny comments to the news of Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Face or 2baba, welcoming a a boy with Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
It emerged last Friday that Osawaru was spotted at a hospital on Friday, sparking rumours that she was in labour.
The politician confirmed the news in a brief post on her official Facebook page, announcing that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy,”,
The message immediately sparked a flurry of congratulatory reactions across social media.
Femi Osiki, who wrote in the comment section of the social media app, said: “2baba the sharp shooter, baba go fire till 100 sef.. congratulations 2baba, na man you be..
Genius in the studio, genius in za oza room.”
Also, Usiomo Agbonselobho, said: “Even 2baba boxers go give woman belle, d guy no dey tire.”
Uche Emembo, however, asked a question saying “This man still dey born?”
Another commenter, Deborah Oden Adie, wrote: “Now the real marriage begins”, with Doctor Iyalse Precious suggesting another report suggested the couple had a twin.
“I saw a report, girl, another report two girls (Twins) and now, a boy?
Wetin Dem really born?” she asked.
Okewu Daniel Attah stated: “Sharp sharp…Toto Mechanic has done it again. Mr Fertility… Go ye into the world and multiply…we de with u.”
Ajisebiola Jnr brought a religious dimension into the conversation, writing: “When God said ‘Be fruitful and multiply’, 2face said AMEN in capital letters.”
The new arrival adds to the evolving story of their high-profile union.
2Baba and Osawaru formalised their relationship earlier this year, following the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January. Their relationship quickly gained public attention, from the Valentine’s Eve proposal to family visits and traditional rites that followed.
In July, the couple held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja, attended by close relatives.
The Nigerian singer has now welcomed children with at least three women.
