Former Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has been arrested in Abuja.
The ex-Anambra State governor was said to have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to Daily Post, Ngige’s former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe, confirmed the former minister’s arrest in a statement.
Chukwulobe, however, dispelled the rumours circulating online that his former principal was kidnapped.
“Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later,” he said.
Ngige was also in the news recently after his convoy was attacked by armed men in Anambra State. He was not present in the vehicle at the time of the attack.
