It is not yet uhuru for Victor Boniface as AC Milan are subjecting the Nigerian international to a most unusual series of tests, putting the Bayer Leverkusen striker through an extremely in-depth medical that will continue on Saturday.
JESNews reports that the agreement was struck to sign the centre-forward on loan for around €5m with an option to buy for an additional €25m.
Boniface began his medical tests on Friday, attending both the Milan club facilities and the required CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) examinations Boniface then proceeded to the Galeazzi Hospital in Milan for more thorough checks.
A report by leading Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Milan called their trusted orthopaedic surgeon back from his vacation only to perform the examination on Boniface.
It seems even that test was not enough, as Boniface will undergo more tests on Saturday morning before Milan finalize the transfer.
It is believed that Milan’s decision to put Boniface through these intense tests is a fallout of a succession of muscular problems last season that affected the player’s form and saw him make only 27 competitive matches for Bayer Leverkusen, still scoring 11 goals with two assists.
