To be or not to be is the question on the lips of fans of Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman as several sources have said that Atalanta rejected the latest Inter Milan offer for Lookman, worth €42m plus €3m in add-ons, as they are holding out for the full €50m asking price.
The Nigerian forward has agreed personal terms with Inter and is determined to make the move to San Siro.
However, after an opening €40m bid was rejected, Inter returned with a new proposal worth €42m plus €3m in bonuses.
This was also deemed insufficient, as the formal response came in Friday afternoon, warning it was not accepted.
Atalanta have made it clear they want the full €50m asking price for Lookman, even if that figure is bridged with the addition of bonus performance-related extras.
This is also because as part of the purchase of the player from RB Leipzig, La Dea owe 10 per cent of the profit to his old club up to €20m and 15 per cent above that.
