Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare netted his first goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night, in the club’s 2-0 victory over Everton in the Third Round of the EFL Cup at the Molineux.
Arokodare joined the club in a £24million deal from Belgian Professional League outfit Genk, on the back of a successful campaign in which he was crowned the top goal banger in the league.
The 24-year-old made his debut for the club in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle at the Saint James’ Park in the Premier League, and was also in action in the 3-1 defeat at home to Leeds United in the league last weekend, with both appearances as starts.
However, on his first substitute appearance for the club, the Nigeria international came from the bench to score the second goal with three minutes left to play, while Wolves were under pressure.
Arokodare latched onto a pass from the midfield and beautifully chipped the goalkeeper to seal the win for his side, as well as their passage to the fourth round of the competition.
