The All Progressives Congress (APC), has disqualified Kayode Ojo, a leading candidate from participating in the party’s Ekiti State primary election.
The announcement was made shortly after Ojo visited the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, where he was given no reception.
APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, disclosed Ojo’s disqualification, while addressing journalists in Abuja. He said governor Abiodun Oyebanji and Omolayo Oluremi had been cleared to contest in the primary.
Ojo was accompanied by thousands of supporters across the 16 local government areas of the stat to the APC secretariat.
The party’s primary election is scheduled for October 27, 2025.
