There’s plot by APC to bar Kwankwaso from Kano

Why ADC won’t survive before 2027 election – Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New National Peoples Party (NNPP) and close ally of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano of working to stop the former governor from entering the state.

Speaking in an interview with DCL Hausa, Galadima said there is currently a document before the Presidency, which he believed is aimed at preventing Kwankwaso from entering Kano.

“There is a paper before the Presidential Villa, and from what we are hearing, it is meant to prevent Kwankwaso from coming to Kano,” he said.

He argued that any move to block Kwankwaso from visiting his home state would be politically motivated and contrary to democratic principles.

“They are trying to stop him from coming to his own state for political reasons,” Galadima stated.

Galadima added that they are awaiting the Presidency’s response, claiming the move appears similar to past attempts to frustrate Kwankwaso.

On reports from the United States recommending sanctions against certain Nigerians, including Kwankwaso, Galadima said the development did not come as a surprise.

“To us, this is not surprising. Although this was not exactly what we expected, there have been many rumours,” he stated.

He further alleged that pressure had previously been mounted on Kwankwaso to defect to the APC.

“From the time Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was told he must join the APC, many people, including his friends and associates, warned him that if he refused, unpleasant things would be arranged against him,” Galadima claimed.

He said some close associates advised Kwankwaso to switch parties to avoid political trouble, adding that there were serious threats.

However, Galadima insisted that Kwankwaso is not afraid and will not defect unless the demands he has presented in the interest of the people are met.

“Kwankwaso is not scared. He has made it clear that he will not move to another party unless the conditions he set for the good of the people are fulfilled,” he said.
