A Ghana Air Force helicopter has reportedly crashed, with the media claiming it caught fire after hitting trees in the Ashanti Region.
Reports indicate that four people on board have lost their lives.
In an official statement, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) confirmed that its Z9 helicopter is missing.
The aircraft, which took off from Accra heading to Obuasi, had three crew members and five passengers.
The GAF says efforts are underway to locate the helicopter and restore communication.
