Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has said the team is ready for today’s semi-final showdown with hosts Morocco at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Rabat.
Nigeria will be without captain Wilfred Ndidi after he received a yellow card in the game with Algeria, his second caution in the knockout phase, which automatically ruled him out of the clash with the Atlas Lions. The former Leicester City star has been instrumental in the Eagles midfield throughout the tournament.

Also, he has marked his impressive performance with a goal, which was in the 3-2 win against Tunisia. Now Chelle will have to do without his captain as they face the hosts.
“I’m disappointed for him because he has done so much for the team but we are a group with very good players who I’m confident about,” Chelle said in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
“Now, I have to make a decision and I believe everything will be fine.”
Asked if the game against Morocco will be his team’s biggest test in the competition, he said: ”Every game is a big test for my team because expectation is so big but we are ready for this game.

“In all the games we’ve played in this tournament we tried to play every one of them like the last and we will give everything.
“Now I have to check my players, how they are physically because we played a few days ago so we have to rest and after I will judge how my team is and think about the game plan.”
