Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has announced his retirement from international retirement.
His decision comes just a little over two weeks to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Troost-Ekong, on Thursday, posted a video on social media and tagged it: “Honoured. Grateful. Forever a Super Eagles.
“Playing for Nigeria has been the greatest privilege of my life.
“The journey may end here, but my support never will.
“Here’s to the next chapter.”
The Al-Kholood centre-back was included in the 52-man provisional list released by Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, earlier this week.
