Former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has reacted to his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A faction of the PDP at its 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, over the weekend, expelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike; factional chairman of the party, Samuel Anyanwu; and Fayose, over alleged anti-party activities.
The motion for their expulsion, which was unanimously supported by the members of the party at the convention, was moved by one of the founding fathers of the party, Olabode George.
In a post on X after his expulsion, the ex-governor who marked his 65th birthday the same weekend as the time of the development, wrote:
“Dead cannot expel the living.
”’The living can’t be found among the dead.
The dead don’t expel the living.” he wrote
