Residents in Anambra State are currently queuing up at the various polling units across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state to elect a new governor.
There are 16 candidates contesting to be the governor of Anambra State in Saturday’s election.
Just two of them are women. Nollywood actor, Chioma Ifemeludike of the African Action Congress, AAC, is one of the two women seeking to replace Professor Chukwuma Soludo in the government house.
Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, has been advised to do everything in his power to deliver a free and fair election in the Anambra governorship election scheduled for Saturday, stating that no excuses for failure would be accepted from his end.
