Emre Eren has lavished praise on Victor Osimhen, describing the Galatasaray striker as ‘a completely different player’ and predicting that his market value could soar to €150 million if he continues his current form.
Speaking on Osimhen’s impact in the Champions League and domestic competitions, Eren remarked: ‘If Osimhen continues with this performance this season, if he keeps reflecting these qualities on the field… They would pay 150 million euros for this guy!’
Osimhen has been electric since his move from Napoli, where he famously scored 26 goals in the 2022/23 season to lead the club to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
That campaign saw him become the first African to finish as Serie A’s top scorer, and his transfer value peaked at €120 million.
However, according to Transfermarkt, his value currently stands at €75 million following his move to Galatasaray.
Eren, a former Beşiktaş defender turned pundit, believes Osimhen could soon rival Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané as the most valuable African players in history.
Both Salah and Mané reached career-high valuations of €150 million during their peak years at Liverpool. If Osimhen continues to deliver goals and dominate on the European stage, Eren’s prediction may not be far-fetched.
With his blend of pace, physicality, and clinical finishing, Osimhen has already become one of the most feared forwards in Europe.
