Abdullahi Ganduje, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has slammed the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabi’u Kwankwaso, over the rumoured intention to return to the ruling party.
Ganduje, who spoke during a stakeholders’ meeting of APC leaders in Kano, said the APC will welcome Kwankwaso and his followers back as “madmen who swallowed their vomit”.
This was as he described Kwankwaso’s politics and governance style as inconsistent and directionless.
He also refuted speculations that Kwankwaso might defect to the APC, adding that he lacks consistency in returning to the ruling party after repeatedly ridiculing it.
“Now they want to return. If they come, we’ll welcome them as ‘madmen who swallowed their vomit,” Ganduje said.
