The Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the political career of former governor, Aminu Tambuwal, as dead.
The state chairman of the party, Sadiq Achida, launched the attack while addressing journalists in Sokoto on Monday.
Achida said Tambuwal has no independent political base, claiming that he rose to power through the influence of political godfathers, particularly Aliyu Wamakko.
According to him, Tambuwal’s political future was bleak.
“No Abuja alliance, no media propaganda, no recycled coalition can revive a politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a collapsed state,” the APC chairman said.
Achida also alleged that Tambuwal refused to formally hand over to his successor in 2023, to avoid being held accountable for leaving behind a state riddled with incomplete projects.
