The suspense is over as Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has finally landed in Port Harcourt after his reinstatement by President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport about 11:50 a.m. on Friday.
The development is coming over 24 hours after Tinubu ended the six-month emergency rule in the state.
Fubara was greeted by a crowd of supporters who had earlier converged at the VIP wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, waiting for his arrival.
JESNews reports that Fubara failed to appear at the Government House on Thursday,, raising concerns over the whereabouts of the governor, who was being awaited by hundreds of supporters who had gathered to welcome him.
The return of the governor to Port Harcourt today puts paid to any concerns over his availability for governance of Rivers State
