The 2025 summer transfer window for Europe’s best five leagues (EPL, Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1) shut down on Monday night.
Some Nigerian players joined new clubs during the summer window, especially on transfer deadline day.
Others remained with their current clubs after missing out on a move to new clubs before the transfer deadline on Monday night.
Also, some players failed to secure a move away from their present teams following the summer transfer window deadline day.
Victor Boniface
Boniface left Bayer Leverkusen to join Werder Bremen on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day.
The Nigerian striker signed a contract until June 2026 with the German Bundesliga club.
Boniface’s wages will be covered by both clubs.
Tolu Arokodare
Wolves announced the signing of Arokodare from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk on transfer deadline day.
The 24-year-old striker signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club with an option of an additional year.
Arokodare joined Wolves after an impressive outing for Genk last season, finishing as top scorer in the Belgian top-flight with 21 goals.
Samuel Chukwueze
Chukwueze secured a deadline day move from AC Milan to Premier League outfit Fulham.
The winger, who was handed the number 19 shirt at Fulham, left Serie A side AC Milan to complete a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old joins a squad in Fulham which already has his Super Eagles team-mates, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
Christantus Uche
After being linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers for days, Christantus Uche made a surprise loan switch to Crystal Palace from La Liga side, Getafe. The burgeoning forward has been in impressive form for the club this season.
