Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused his successor, Uba Sani, of sponsoring terrorism in the state.
El-Rufai, who described Sani as his “godson”, decried the governor’s failure to follow his principles of peace.
The former governor spoke in a video, in which he condemned the attack on some members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), during a gathering in Kaduna on Saturday.
There was pandemonium during the inauguration of a transition committee formed by opposition parties in Kaduna State.
Thugs disrupted the inauguration, attacking participants and damaging property.
The said hoodlums armed with cutlasses, clubs, and stones, attacked the gathering, leaving several people injured and vehicles destroyed.
“We don’t stop people from enjoying their freedom, but unfortunately, my godson, Governor Uba Sani, whom I thought had been following my principles of peace, is the one sponsoring this kind of terrorism,” El-Rufai said while reacting to the incident.
