Mohamed Salah has been named the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) ‘Player of the Year’ for the 2024/25 English Premier League (EPL) season.
The Egyptian winger was announced the Players’ ‘Player of the Year’ winner on Tuesday, gathering more votes than Alexis Mac Allister, Bruno Fernandes, Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Declan Rice.
Salah also becomes the first male player to win the PFA award thrice, after picking the award in 2018 and 2022.
The 33-year-old scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists as Liverpool won their 30th EPL title. The winger also broke the record for the most goal involvements in a single 38-game EPL campaign.
He had earlier been named the EPL player of the year and also rewarded with the Football Writers’ Association’s Men’s Footballer of the Year (FOTY) award.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers was named the best male young player of the year.
The English midfielder won the prize ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri; Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Liam Delap.
