The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has said that only the Almighty God can decide who becomes Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Disclosing this in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, the former governor, while speaking after returning to his Bodija residence said, “Only God chooses Olubadan, the choice of Olubadan is not by power, might, riches or wisdom but by God.
“My becoming Olubadan of Ibadanland is God’s ordained considering the challenges faced before reaching the pinnacle of Ibadan traditional rulership”, added Ladoja.
While addressing the gathering, the former governor appealed to all Oyo indigenes and residents of Ibadan to put the interest of the nation first and prodded on them to support leaders at the local, state, and federal levels.
