US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin have greeted each other, as they met on the tarmac in Alaska for talks on the Ukraine war .
Trump said he “won’t be happy” if a ceasefire isn’t agreed during the meeting.
Volodymyr Zelensky, who is not invited to the summit, said Ukraine is “counting on America” and there’s “no indication” Russia is preparing to end the war
Away from Alaska, Kyiv residents are “sceptical” of the talks, while Russian soldiers tell the BBC they “just want it all to end”
Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with tens of thousands of soldiers killed on both sides
