Former Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, has declared that he will never defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking to his supporters after returning to Sokoto, the senator representing Sokoto south stated that he cannot join the APC because he does not want his sins forgiven.
“I do not want my sins to be forgiven so I can’t join the APC. I cannot be intimidated. I cannot be blackmailed. No one can tarnish my records.”
Tambuwal insisted that the Nigerian political landscape is torn between “those with Bola Tinubu and his government” and “those with the people of Nigeria,” stressing that he has chosen to stand with the people.
JESNews correspondent reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC recently detained Tambuwal over alleged fraudulent withdrawal of cash amounting to N189 billion.
