Erling Haaland is having another incredible season at Manchester City. He scored twice in their 3-1 win over Bournemouth, bringing his total to 13 Premier League goals in just 10 games.
Across all competitions, he now has 26 goals for club and country this season. Pep Guardiola praised his striker, saying, ‘His numbers are insane,’ and added that Haaland always seems likely to score whenever he’s on the pitch.
Since joining City in 2022, Haaland has been unstoppable. He’s scored 141 goals in 159 games in England and is just two goals away from reaching 100 Premier League goals. If he does it in the next 16 matches, he’ll break Alan Shearer’s record for the fastest to reach that milestone.
Haaland’s scoring in the first 10 games of each Premier League season has been unmatched. He’s netted 50 goals in 40 games across those early-season stretches, averaging 1.25 goals per game, something no other player has done in league history.
His best start came in the 2022/23 season when he scored 15 goals in his first 10 matches.
While he’s known for explosive starts, Haaland’s scoring tends to slow down later in the season. In the first six games of each campaign, he’s averaged 1.56 goals per match, but that drops to 0.7 goals per game afterward. Still, with his current form and City’s attacking setup, fans will be watching closely to see if he can keep up the pace and break more records.
