The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, is qualified to run for governorship in 2027.
Jandor, however, stated that Seyi is not as experienced as him because he has never been on the ballot before.
The politician said this on Thursday while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, when asked whether he stands a chance against the likes of Seyi, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Tokunbo Abiru, and Honourable Babajimi Benson.
“Okay, so all the names that you have mentioned, just like I said earlier, they are all qualified to be governor of Lagos. This includes Seyi himself, every one of them,” he stated.
“And you’re not going to take anything away from no one. But from all of them that you have mentioned, aside from the former governor that you mentioned, none of them have actually been on the ballot as governorship candidates aside from myself.
“So I come with that experience. I come with the experience of somebody who has single-handedly gone through that process without any backing.”
Jandor returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), after losing the 2023 gubernatorial election to Babajide Sanwo-Olu who won a re-elction for his second term in office.
